MÖTLEY CRÜE's NEIL Says WALKEN WILL Play OZZY In 'The Dirt' Movie
March 20, 2007MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil has contradicted a statement his bandmate, bassist Nikki Sixx, made to MTV News regarding the upcoming CRÜE movie, "The Dirt". Sixx recently rejected speculation that Christopher Walken will play Ozzy Osbourne in the flick, stating, "I think [Walken] had a couple drinks and it got blown out of proportion. I believe, as everyone else believes, that it's gong to be [cast with] unknowns." However, in an interview with Altitude TV (TV for your cell phone),Neil insisted that Walken WILL play Ozzy, while the roles of MÖTLEY CRÜE will be cast with unknowns.

Sixx told MTV News that fans shouldn't expect to see a concert film when "The Dirt" finally hits the screen. "It's a really important story, [but] it's not the [one] you would think it is," he explained. "It's not really a rock movie — I mean, it is — but it's [more] the story of survival. Everybody who reads the script feels an emotional connection to it."
